wildlife Tours
Chalkoko Birding and wildlife Tours is a privately owned
Mombasa based company that provides tours and travel agency
related services in Kenya. The company was started with the aim
of providing tours & safaris to individuals, families,
groups, incentives & conferences. Chalkoko Birding and wildlife
Tours provides quality tours & safaris at affordable prices.
Transportation: Our Safari Vehicles
Our vehicle fleet comprises custom-built safari vans with
pop-up roofs for unobstructed game viewing and photography, all
maintained to the highest standards with the skills and
knowledge of our drivers and guides ensures that each safari is
a rewarding experience. 8-seater custom safari minibuses are the
vehicles we mostly use. The buses are well maintained to provide
maximum level of comfort and safety and are fitted with HF
long-range radios for easy communication. The vehicles are fully
equipped with cooler-boxes and first aid kits, as well as
guidebooks on wildlife and birds of East Africa.
If requested, transportation can be arranged in a 4 x 4 Land
cruiser or Land rover at an extra cost.
Our drivers and guides
The driver or guide will determine the success of your safari
and this is a fact. With this knowledge in mind, we have a
selected a team of well trained, experienced and knowledgeable
guides to accompany you, with a knowledge of wildlife and birds,
their behavior as well as the local flora and fauna.

Flexibility
Chalkoko Birding and wildlife Tours scope is currently
limited to Kenya. We prefer to focus on what we know and can do
best. Our purpose and principle is to work with each client,
family and group individually. We encourage our clients to
discuss their expectations, budget etc., to be able to arrange a
custom made safari just for you.
Departures
Our safaris depart daily with a minimum of 2 persons for
lodge safaris and 4 persons for camping safaris. We do this in
order fit our itineraries to your schedule. The camping safaris
can and do also depart with minimum 2 persons at an added cost.
Briefing
One of our tour consultants will take time to meet you at the
start of your safari (whenever possible). This is so that you
can be introduced to your tour guide/driver and also to go
through the safari program with you, explaining what to expect
while on the safari, provide background information and
materials, discuss the dos and don'ts as well as answer any last
minute questions that you may have.
Accommodation
Accommodation greatly depends on your budget. There are
several types ranging from 5-star hotels and luxury tented camps
to basic camping for those who want to 'rough it". Explorer

but we provide the best for our clients regardless of the level
or budget.
